Is This The Change America Needs?

Also notable, Obama's relationship with Rezko which started 18 years ago.
Rezko, who is now in jail, came to this country from Syria to study in college, has strong ties to the National Of Islam since being in this country.

great...you are sizing up a candidate based on a religious nut, who Obama clarified he does not share views with.

Now heres the real mccain:

What do you mean does not share views with?

And doesn't Obama refer to him as his "uncle?"
Obama sat in church listening to this man for 20 years, you can believe that he agrees with him, or Obama is the stupidest man alive. Oprah belonged to the church, and she left when she heard him carrying on. Even she realized it was dangerous to be closely associated with someone like him.

Chandrakant, My other commenters pretty much said what I would have had to say to you.

I also want to point out a big hypocricy in your statement/question to me. You claim I am basing my opinion based on a religious nut Obama claimed to not share views with. Isn't that exactly what you do when you run around bashing Republicans and people who support Bush and McCain, when you make blanket statements about the party being tied to the religious right? Just putting it out there.

Mark43,
did you watch the speech given by Obama after people (not just republicans but democrats also) doubted his views after Wright's words? He mentioned the fact that there maybe racist people in your family who have views because of the time they were raised in. Do you disassociate yourself with say your grandmother or grandfather because they have narrower views? You are shocked and condemn them yes, but do you say I dont have anything to do with you anymore?
Its not easy to disassociate oneself with someone who has been in your life and is as close as family.
Please do not take this as my support for a man like Wright. I think hes a very close-minded and bitter man, and doesnt deserve to be a pastor or any important figure.

Lauren,
I do agree that I myself have been guilty of being ready to associate republicans with the religious right. But does that mean McCain does not associate himself to a man equally radical? In fact, McCain has been more wishywashy about completely disassociating himself with somebody as prejudiced as Hagee than Obama, who has come out and said he condemns Wrights words.

But that aside, I also noticed that you support McCain. Thats why I posted the link to the video. You think its justified that he should keep changing views like this to pander to different sets of people?

Chandrakant, I am way to tired to debate you. I know you believe you are making a good tie to what I have shown but you aren't. And I am convinced that I will not convince you either.

There's a HUGE difference with not always knowing all the facts and not having any experience at all. No one is perfect and I am not asking any human being to be. Presidents have to have the same rights to change their opinions based on the facts they are provided or the evidence that might change.

But Obama amongst many other things, which I have posted on this blog and am not going to rehash today just for your sake, stayed in a church with a paster of HIS CHOOSING for 20 years and chose a church for 20 years to which he felt matched his values. NO ONE CHOOSES a church or house of worship unless they agree with the values being taught. So to turn around and say that he doesn't share his values and denounce him, and only after prodding to do so, is just pandering and a big lie and NOT the same as when McCain flubs or changes his mind.

It saddens me that you cannot see this. But It is what it is.

Obama is definitely the change this country needs. The last eight years have been a monumental fiasco and I don't know if the country can stand another four years of these clowns (Republicans). Because of the current administration we are in a never ending war, a definite recession (although no one is calling it that) and I recently had to take out a small business loan to buy a tank of gas :-)

I don't know how many times Senator Obama has to affirm that he does not share Rev. Wright's views. Everyone has associations with individuals who they love and respect even though they do not share their opinions. Political opponents have taken Obama's life apart, hoping to find some hint of scandal, anything to destroy this man. The best anyone has been able to come up with is affiliation with a colorful, opinionated pastor, who has every right to his beliefs, regardless of whether you or I agree with them.

So I am going to join Hillary Clinton in standing behind Barack Hussein Obama, who is not a Muslim, but even if he was, this is America and he has a right to worship as he chooses. His religious membership should have absolutely nothing to do with his abilities to lead this country. He just might be able to pull this country out of the toilet. He really couldn't make things any worse than they already are.

Pjazzypar, not liking an administration is NOT a good-enough reason to vote for a racist, simply to have a change. YEP. that would be a change. In fact, putting me in there would be a change and putting you in office would be a change too.

The kind of ideology you are speaking about, the economy being bad and attributing it to one person and one party (hence a people) WREAKS of Hitler talk, which rankles me to the core. And while I do not believe Obama is a Hitler, I do believe YOUR ideaology for choosing him follows a Hilter-Chavez thought pattern.

It is super ignorant to blame the President of the United States for the price of gas. It shows your complete lack of knowledge for how our government works. CONGRESS writes the laws and policies. NOT THE PRESIDENT. The President has VERY VERY VERY little to do with laws. He gets to sign a bill into law or Veto it or let it sit on his desk. THAT'S his only role. He can make speeches and try to persuade/lobby congress to write laws he wants. But it is the CONGRESS's fault of the situation we are in. For the last almost 2 years it has been a democratic majority in Congress and THAT is when things started to TANK (no pun intended) economincally.

Your lack of critical thinking tries to pull down this one point I made in a post as if there aren't so many other good reasons why we should not be voting in a person of his weak character.

I do not want to live in a country under his RULE. And that is what it would be.

There's a lot of points I could make directed at you but alas I have to get to a JOB! Because instead of bitching about the price of gas and claiming I took out a loan for to fill my tank I am working at a job today. In fact I hold about 3 jobs because that is what you do when you want to get ahead instead of whine about how things are. YOU WORK HARD especially when times are tough because they will inevitably be tough.

HOWEVER I do see from your avitar that you are black. So maybe you'll take a look at another black person's perspective that I listed today via a youtube video.

You see I do not give a rats ass the color of a person's skin. I care about the content of their character. Hmmm I wonder who said that??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

MCCAIN 2008!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You aren't the only one with several vocations because of your so called administration.I was working hard on several jobs when you were still urinating and defecating on yourself so don't profess to know me, my political view, or my critical thinking processes simply because you saw my avatar and assumed I was black, therefore stupid or "super ignorant" as you called it. You thought you would be able to run all over me, but alas you were wrong dead wrong. You need to learn how to think outside the box and not make so many assumptions young lady.

Oh and you had to take it to a personal place. You are the worst type of racist. You claim not to "give a rats ass" about color, but that is all that is really important. You are the one that lacks any semblance of critical thinking because you lack the ability to debate a simple topic and not become defensive, attacking everyone who does not share your views. I thought you might have been intelligent because of the topics you discuss on your blog, however, had I just read your comments I would have known how you treat guest who disagree with you I would have kept it moving. I can agree to disagree without acting an idiot a skill you should develop!

Your one-mindedness is appalling and I actually feel sorry for you because their is only one opinion is your world YOURS!!!! Good luck on your so called journey and by the way, WHAT COLOR IS THE SKY ON YOUR PLANET???:-)Now I am off to work. You are not the only one with a job. I was working before you were born. SEE YA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
