Rose's General Store

I had a lovely day in Sea Cliff on Saturday. It's one of those towns that is very artsy and spiritual, politically a bit too left leaning and moonbat-ish for my style and comfort but has amazing architecture, with mostly Victorian-style homes done up in the most interesting colors.

I've been to Sea Cliff many times but never noticed this store until today. Because I really see the symbolism in everything, the name struck me and I felt pulled to go into the store. Rose was my grandmother's name.

It's done up in the old general store style and has an energy which I loved. But the best thing I found was a fellow tweeter who shares my political views and feelings on the current situation, which was such a comfort to both she and I.

Anyway here are some pictures from the town and the store. I hope you enjoy them half as much as I did my time inside.

Jon & Kate Plus 8

I've always enjoyed watching this show on TLC. But it was obvious that there were problems. I'm not sure what I found most appealing about this show because there are so many aspects I like. I'm a voyuer. I like to people watch. I like observing behavior. But I hate fake. This show never appeared scripted and they claim it is not.

I'm watching a one-hour special as I write this. It's an old special from after one year of taping. They look like regular folk. Sadly now they do not.

I think the one thing I've observed a lot as a single girl trying to figure out why she's single and what she needs in order to partner up is the lack of respect between couples. And it's clear that this respect doesn't exist between these two.

And this respect slowly erroded over the course of the taping of the show.

I know a lot of people see Kate as the nag. But why do women nag. When there's no respect for your spouse, then you are forced to ask and ask and ask.

It takes a certain maturity level, emotional maturity level to see and hear the needs of your partner and respect them, even if they aren't what would be your priority. When there is that mutual respect you have a sincere desire to fulfill those needs, sometimes anticipating them.

I'm not absolving Kate. Kate is very absorbed in getting her needs met. So much so that she doesn't listen to her partner.

As a Jon & Kate junkie I've watched many episodes more than once. And it is a bit painful to listen to her talk to Jon as if he is a child. "What day of the weekend did we meet honey?" Or her "Don't say that..." moments. There's even one episode where he's cleaning out the garage and Kate's brother comes to help and Jon tells us that Kate is nicer when her brother is around.

Sadly all Kate could hear was her perception of Jon being wrong, rather than realizing that she was making this impression, right or wrong and that she had better start addressing her husbands needs. Instead she brow beat him into believing he was wrong.

In the end, I just find it rather sad. The breakdown in communication, the immaturity of Jon and the blocked ears and wounded ego of Kate is so obvious.

This couple has 8 children that they need to make a good life for and repair their marriage for. They both need to check their egos and wounded hearts and feelings and repair the respect they once had for each other because it's not about them first anymore.

Jon & Kate please grow up before your kids do.

You'll see some things missing from my blog for a short time

Just a short note to let you know that because of a bug I've had to remove some widgets from my sidebar. It's not that I do not love all my followers and don't want to promote them. That particular widget has been moved to a shitty location on my site and basically seems as if it's gone....but it's at the bottom and even my Barak gone widget is gone for a little while until my amazing blog coder can figure out how to get them running without causing an abort error to me and many other readers when we come to visit the site.

Also many of you who use blogger as your host...please know I cannot get on your blogs and read for the very same reason. I believe you will need to take down your blogger friends widget to get rid of the bug. So if you are not seeing me around and leaving comments...this is the reason why. Please fix your sites as well so I can get my fix of your blogs. Withdrawel sucks and I'm really not that into it. :)

Thank you for your patience.

They Want To Blow Up Temples

Yes they are the religion of peace...converts to Islam, American citizens, here in NYC ...informant who is in jail and converted to Islam...angry about our involvment in Afghanastan plotting to blow up JEWISH temples.
GO BLOW UP YOURSELVES!

Wednesday, May 20, 2009

The state of our political culture is a mess. As a former "liberal" who now feels more closely aligned with conservatives I can see things from both sides of the aisle.

Living in NYC and being an independent minded woman isn't the easiest path to walk. It took many years of building my self-esteem to be confident and not wishy washy about my feelings on political subjects in public.

What I have experienced is that the extremes on both sides, but mostly from the left, seek to demonize "the other side" and this rhetoric inflicted upon our youth has created the stupid characters and characatures like Garafalo who commit such bafoonary with hateful denograting blanket statements such as "The tea (party) baggers are just racists rednecks."

In short, we are all being used.

It's only in those extremist politicians best interests that average citizens are fighting each other and calling each other names. It's easy to shout down someone if you've already deemed them as a redneck. It gives you licence to not listen to the concerns and issues and facts of that person.

In NYC it's not hard to hear this line...and hear it with disdain: "Are you are REPUBLICAN?"
The person saying that really infers...How can you be so evil? How can you not care about poor people etc etc...

And this is what bothers me the most. Because neither side of the NORMAL AVERAGE EVERYDAY PEOPLE are listening to each other, they can not see that for the most part we all want the same things. Peace, wealth, happiness and independence.

Our disagreements lie in the HOW to get there not the desired end results.

So who is it that really wants/needs us to keep fighting each other?

Gay Rights...and My Bafflement With Their Love Affair With The Left

I used to be a liberal. It was a long time ago. The reasons I identified with that affiliation were my feelings about government not being involved in my personal life.

I know that people like to hijack the term pro-life and it's come to mean against abortion but that's not how I see things and I won't let any person or group do that to me.

I'm pro-life and pro-choice! I'm pro MY LIFE and MY CHOICE to decide what I will do with my body or not should I ever get pregnant and I stand strongly for each woman to decide this for herself without political pressure from any other person or group! PERIOD! My human rights comes first.

As for being gay...let me put this at you clearly: Not ONE gay person ever created another gay person. It takes a man and a woman to make a baby. That means that it's heterosexuals who are creating gay people!

No one ever taught me to like boys. I just did. I chased them from a young age on the playground...schoolyard crushes. It wasn't like I had the best role models to show me a loving heterosexual relationship, believe you me.

And I do feel for those in the gay community because really they have nowhere to turn but the left is SLEEPING with their enemies. The right is just against their lifestyle.

I know we all want things to be perfect and in a perfect world these wouldn't be the choices. But I think the biggest thing missing from the minds of our youth today is the understanding of real choices and what doing or feeling one way means on the other side of those choices and decisions.

So for me I mostly align myself politically with those on the right. I do not agree with all that they stand for. But I know they are their beliefs only and I can live with them and work around the ones I do not agree with.

The left however makes international alliances with Iran, Pakistan (now as the militants are taking over) and Russia. I don't need to give examples as they are so recent and clear cut. These countries regimes are staunchly anti-gay. Moscow police arrested many people this past weekend for protesting against the government's position on gay rights. And according to the report they did so pretty violently.

In reading the story I wondered about the Americans that were there to organize this event, why they felt it was their business to be there and why they haven't tried this in Iran. After all Russia is one of the largest suppliers of weapons to Iran and is economically strongly tied to that country. Iran has an even worse human rights record and their President makes public claims that they have no gay people.

So the next time idiots like Garafalo who are totally brainwashed by the left, scream that those of us who support the Tea Parties are just redneck hick racists...maybe just maybe someone intelligent and not brainwashed will throw these realities in her/their faces and show who is the redneck racist and and who is not.

Ancient Tribal Codes: Radical Islam

Phyllis Chesler is one of the greatest female academic minds. She's a truth tellers truth teller. I've talked about her on my blog before. If you don't know anything about her...good. I'm going to clip a few quotes from her latest blog post to give you some things to think about. Then I ask that you go to her blog and read the full post. And then I ask that if you don't already know about her background you read about it on her website.

Why am I asking you to do it this way? Easy! Because I want you to test your own openness and biases. Can you do it? Can you stand to be tested?

"Many male immigrants look as if they’ve assimilated to western ways. They dress in western attire, speak the language of their adopted country, study, socialize with, and work alongside native citizens. They may do all these things even if they wear Muslim, Sikh, or Hindu religious attire.

When it comes to many female immigrants, especially if they are Muslim, things are different. The women are forced into (or “choose”) to wear hijab, niqab, burq’a, or chador. Their movements are closely supervised and monitored. They suffer daily threats: If they do anything that is viewed as “too western,” or do anything against their parents wishes, they will be beaten, cursed, grounded, stalked, spied on, and threatened with death."

Still think you understand the Muslim immigrants in your country/neighborhood? Still think they are just like anyone else? Still believe with your Western ideals that you should live and let live?

OR maybe your own Western ideals are betraying your own Western ideals of women's rights, freedom, and plain old basic human rights.

"It's only a few" - OH REALLY? Hmmm

"Now is the time to start wrestling with certain questions. What does it cost, in terms of social services and welfare, to feed, house, educate, and provide medical care for a large percentage of the 30-50 million Muslim immigrants who live in Europe? These immigrants are also rapidly procreating and rapidly marrying cousins from the Old Country. Their care and feeding will eventually bankrupt Eurabia. In addition, it will cost even more to protect immigrant girls and women from being battered and honor-killed. To its credit, Britain has set up a special police division to handle honor-related violence. And, right now, there are 100 girls being sheltered in hiding to protect them from honor-related violence in just one Swedish county. (Vastra Gotaland). Protecting each one costs “1,500-3,500 kroner a day. “ Multiply that by every county in Sweden."

On May 12th this happened:

"for the second time in two weeks, 50 innocent schoolgirls were poison-gassed at school and had to be hospitalized. Many girls lost consciousness and collapsed. Some girls were dizzy, nauseous, and threw up. Amazingly, Noor Jahan, a ninth grader at the Ura Jalili Girls High School said:
“I am pretty sure whoever has done this is against education for girls, but I strongly ask the parents not to be discouraged by such brutal action and send their children to school.”

90 Years Young

This is a picture of a co-worker who is 90 years old and yours truly. I took it with my cell phone, so you'll have to get over the bad lighting and angle.
You'd never know this woman was 90. She has more energy than I do. She walks up huge flights of stairs every night. I watch her dance during the performance and do her stretches and all kinds of other things for her body. She's had two hip replacements.
It's amazing what a good attitude can do for you.

Sweet Sadie

OK I've shown you photos of Sadie that have been less than 100% flattering because she's such a personality, with so much energy and gets into everything. But the truth is, she's also sweet and has an incredibly beautiful face and I think this photo really captures that spirit in her.

Rev. Alberto Cutie?

I know that some Catholic readers will be pissed at me for posting this story and my comments but really peeps stop and breathe because this story is way too funny not to post and comment on.

You can't expect me to pass up on a story about a Priest with the last name Cutie who's young and good looking and publically admits to having a love affair with a woman.

And not only does he admit to this, he admits to being in this love affair that has been consumated for the last two years while he continued to be a Priest and carry out the duties of the church.

It's funny for this single girl for so many reasons. It highlights so much of what I find frustating about men...not all men, just the ones that seem to always get away with this kind of stuff.

The hypocricy of the situation is so glaring. A man of God lying for the past two years.

TWO YEARS!

Premarital sex...or is it considered an affair because Priests are committed to God. I know that Nuns marry God but is it the same with Priests?

And this one's been preaching about relationships and writing books all the while deceiving his flock.

I'm a rather conservative girl on a lot of subjects but there's certainly a few that I'm not conservative minded on at all. I think the idea of sex and what is not ok to do etc...is preached so wrongly from the conservative side of the aisle and I see these stories as proof that while good in theory...the idea of abstinence just doesn't work. We are not biologically made this way.

However, if you take a vow I believe strongly that you should always strive to respect that vow, and if you faulter you make ammends, honest ammends. Two years hardly seems like any ammeding to me.

Rescue Remedy, You CAN Be A Part Of My Life!

I'm saved I've saved...not that kind of saved you Born Again peeps. OY I'm Jewish and happily so.

OMG I learned about Rescue Remedy by Bach last week from two co-workers who use this amazing product on their dogs to help calm them down.

My Sadie the destroyer of all has been really pushng me to the limits lately. She's just all over the place, getting into everything. Even if you tell her no, she will stop and come back less than a minute later. It's exhausting to say the least.

For $18 I bought what I hope to be the miracle of miracles, better than the oil on Chanukah and have used it numerous times already.

All I can say is that at this moment I'm eating a plate full of purdue chicken nuggets and she's not in my face, crawling on the keyboard and doing everything she can to get a bite for herself.

Sadie is fast asleep and has been for a couple of hours now. Two sprays.

I'm in love. I'm in love. I'm in love. I love this product so much I practically want to make love to it. The bottle shape is even you know what shapped. LMAO.

The Hamas ‘Peace’ Gambit

Another factual piece you probably haven't seen or been told about:

By Charles Krauthammer

"Apart from the time restriction (a truce that lapses after 10 years) and the refusal to accept Israel's existence, Mr. Meshal's terms approximate the Arab League peace plan …"
— Hamas peace plan, as explained by the New York Times

"Apart from that, Mrs. Lincoln, how did you enjoy the play?"
— Tom Lehrer, satirist

The Times conducted a five-hour interview with Hamas leader Khaled Meshal at his Damascus headquarters. Mirabile dictum, they're offering a peace plan with a two-state solution. Except. The offer is not a peace but a truce that expires after 10 years. Meaning that after Israel has fatally weakened itself by settling millions of hostile Arab refugees in its midst, and after a decade of Hamas arming itself within a Palestinian state that narrows Israel to eight miles wide — Hamas restarts the war against a country it remains pledged to eradicate.

There is a phrase for such a peace: the peace of the grave.

Westerners may be stupid, but Hamas is not. It sees the new American administration making overtures to Iran and Syria. It sees Europe, led by Britain, beginning to accept Hezbollah. It sees itself as next in line. And it knows what to do. Yasser Arafat wrote the playbook.

With the 1993 Oslo accords, he showed what can be achieved with a fake peace treaty with Israel — universal diplomatic recognition, billions of dollars of aid, and control of Gaza and the West Bank, which Arafat turned into an armed camp. In return for a signature, he created in the Palestinian territories the capacity to carry on the war against Israel that the Arab states had begun in 1948 but had given up after the bloody hell of the 1973 Yom Kippur War.

Meshal sees the opportunity. Not only is the Obama administration reaching out to its erstwhile enemies in the region, but it begins its term by wagging an angry finger at Israel over the Netanyahu government's ostensible refusal to accept a two-state solution.

Of all the phony fights to pick with Israel. No Israeli government would turn down a two-state solution in which the Palestinians accepted territorial compromise and genuine peace with a Jewish state. (And any government that did would be voted out in a day.)

Netanyahu's own defense minister, Ehud Barak, offered precisely such a deal in 2000. He even offered to divide Jerusalem and expel every Jew from every settlement remaining in the new Palestine.

The Palestinian response (for those who have forgotten) was: No. And no counteroffer. Instead, nine weeks later, Arafat unleashed a savage terror war that killed 1,000 Israelis.

Netanyahu is reluctant to agree to a Palestinian state before he knows what kind of state it will be. That elementary prudence should be shared by anyone who's been sentient the last three years. The Palestinians already have a state, an independent territory with not an Israeli settler or soldier living on it. It's called Gaza. And what is it? A terror base, Islamist in nature, Iranian-allied, militant and aggressive, that has fired more than 10,000 rockets and mortar rounds at Israeli civilians.

If this is what a West Bank state is going to be, it would be madness for Israel or America or Jordan or Egypt or any other moderate Arab country to accept such a two-state solution. Which is why Netanyahu insists that the Palestinian Authority first build institutions — social, economic and military — to anchor a state that could actually carry out its responsibilities to keep the peace.

Apart from being reasonable, Netanyahu's two-state skepticism is beside the point. His predecessor, Ehud Olmert, worshiped at the shrine of a two-state solution. He made endless offers of a two-state peace to the Palestinian Authority — and got nowhere.

Why? Because the Palestinians — going back to the U.N. partition resolution of 1947 — have never accepted the idea of living side by side with a Jewish state. Those like Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, who might want to entertain such a solution, have no authority to do it. And those like Hamas's Meshal, who have authority, have no intention of ever doing it.

Meshal's gambit to dress up perpetual war as a two-state peace is yet another iteration of the Palestinian rejectionist tragedy. In its previous incarnation, Arafat lulled Israel and the Clinton administration with talk of peace while he methodically prepared his people for war.

Arafat waited seven years to tear up his phony peace. Meshal's innovation? Ten — then blood.

More Hypocracy

For all the left-wing nuts who think speaking to Iran and other megalomaniac led countries is such a great thing, and think that these people are just like us, and to those same left-wing nuts who feel that people should be able to go to whatever country they want and want our own immigration rules pulled apart I force you to look at this ONE sentence:

"Iranian intelligence officials had been particularly suspicious of a trip Saberi had made to Israel, as well as her relationship with U.S. government officials."

If you have your head buried in the sand...and if you're a leftist you just might...Saberi was being held in jail for espionoge in Iran. She's half Iranian and half Japanese and has been a reporter for three news organizations. She was on a hunger strike after her conviction.

So how can you keep supporting dialogue with a country that doesn't share your very "simple" values. How? Do you think if you just ask them they will start to agree with you?

Survey: Jews are Blamed for Economic Crisis

Disclaimer: this is NOT my article.
As you know I always seek to provide you with factual information you probably never see in your mainstream papers and television. But I know all my readers are curious and open minded and will great this with the proper belief yet shock.

by Hillel Fendel

(IsraelNN.com) A survey conducted by the Boston Review in its May/June issue shows that nearly 25% of American non-Jews blame “the Jews” a moderate amount or more for the financial crisis.

Furthermore, a total of 38.4% of the non-Jews in the U.S. attribute at least some level of blame to the group.

Possibly most significant of all were the subconscious anti-Semitic tendencies revealed based on the way the questions were phrased to different groups.
Possibly most significant of all were the subconscious anti-Semitic tendencies revealed based on the way the questions were phrased to different groups.

Neil Malhotra, Assistant Professor of Political Economy in the Graduate School of Business at Stanford University, and Dr. Yotam Margalit of Stanford University, conducted the study. It was part of a survey of 2,768 American adults exploring responses and anti-Semitic sentiments vis-à-vis the economic collapse.

They found that Democrats were significantly more prone to blaming Jews than Republicans: while 32% of Democrats accorded at least moderate blame, compared to only 18.4% of Republicans.

The researchers carried out a fascinating experiment in the course of the study. The goal was to see what happens when Wall Street corruption is explicitly associated with Jewish financiers such as Bernard Madoff; would that affect people’s views on bailing out big business?

To address this question, they randomly assigned national survey participants to one of three groups. All three were prompted with a one-paragraph news report that briefly described the Madoff scandal, and were then asked their views about providing government tax breaks to big business in order to spur job creation.

The text of the paragraph about Madoff had slight differences for the three groups: The first group was told that Madoff is an “American investor” who contributed to “educational charities,” the second group was told that he is a “Jewish-American investor” who contributed to “educational charities,” and the third group was told that Madoff is an “American investor” who contributed to “Jewish educational charities.”

The findings were “revealing and disturbing,” the researchers wrote. Those people who were told explicitly that Madoff is Jewish were almost twice as likely to oppose the tax cuts to big business. While only 10% those who were given no information about his Jewishness said they opposed tax cuts for big business, over 17% of those who were told that Madoff is Jewish opposed the gestures to big business. “This difference is highly significant in statistical terms,” the researchers conclude.

To complete the picture, the “middle” group – those who were told that Madoff was an American who gave to Jewish charities – produced a 14% opposition rate.

When Jewish respondents were assigned to the three groups, they had “the exact same policy preferences in all three groups,” wrote Margalit and Malhotra. Nor were there any differences between the groups on other proposals that did not deal with the business sector, but rather with federal support for state governments or with tax breaks for the middle class.

The researchers noted that the greater tendency among Democrats than Republicans to blame Jews is “somewhat surprising, given the presumed higher degree of racial tolerance among liberals, and the fact that Jews are a central part of the Democratic Party’s electoral coalition.

Sorting the results according to level of education provided another interesting finding: 18.3% of those with at least a bachelor’s degree blamed the Jews a moderate amount or more, while 27.3% of those lacking a 4-year degree did so. Yet, these numbers were basically reversed – as they were in the case of the Democrats and Republicans - when asked about the culpability of individuals who took out loans they could not afford.

“Crises often have the potential to stoke fears and resentment,” the researchers conclude, “and the current economic collapse is likely no exception. Therefore, we must take heed of prejudice and bigotry that have already started to sink roots in the United States… The media ought to bear these findings in mind in their coverage of financial scandals such as the Madoff scam. In most cases, religious and ethnic affiliations have nothing to do with the subject at hand, and such references, explicit or implied, ought, then, to be avoided.”

More News I Bet You Didn't Know

Apology shmology! Are you frickin' kidding me? The elected President of the U.S. goes on his worldwide carbon footprinting gala around the world spreading his good will by denograding the image of Americans and calling us arrogant and making individual apologies to each nation he visited without ever asking for or requiring the same from those nations.

On May 5th in Spain, on their walk back home from a soccer match, the Israeli Ambassador and his companion were attacked verbally by a mob screaming "dirty Jew" and "Jewish dog" amongst other things that they say cannot be printed.

This isn't 1939 folks! It's the new millenium for god's sake! It's 2009. It's NOW. CURRENT.

Get your priorities straight people/haters! There's genocide going on in the world right now, as well as many atrocities in the recent past perpetrated by your nations. Where's your damn apologies you arrogant bastards!

Yes, that's right I called you arrogant bastards who think you are without sin yet cast the first stone at my nation while you allow your societies to bastardize the current situation with the Palis and Israeli's so much so that you allow people to scream such horrid things at others simply because they are Jews.

You're so wrongfully focused on a supposed end result of torture (which it is NOT) that the U.S. supposedly uses, that you blind yourself to your own responsibility at the root cause that you refuse to stop before it even gets to our corner of the world to take care of, you lazy hater bastards.

It's really very simple. Control your own people, teach them not to hate others, insist that ALL cultures within your society teach and spread this or realize that it is you that are directly responsible for the U.S. having no choice but to go into countries like Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan etc...and to bring them to GITMO and use enhanced terragation techniques to get life-saving information out of these scum of the earth.

Undercover Mosque -Hear Them In Their Own Words

via videosift.com

If you can't load the video...go here http://www.videosift.com/video/Undercover-Mosque-Exposing-the-Wahabi-Sect

If you are for gay rights, women being treated equally, western society then HOW in the world can you stand with this culture that preaches this. THIS is the truth. THIS is what they really think and feel.

Undercover Mosque is a documentary from British Television Channel 4 programme Dispatches which aired on 15 January 2007 in the UK. The film caused a furor in Britain and the world press due to the content of the released footage.

The documentary presents film footage gathered from 12 months of secret investigation into mosques throughout Britain.

Undercover Mosque generated controversy because it contained footage depicting British imams making the following statements:

* Dr Ijaz Mian on the subject of non-muslim laws: "You cannot accept the rule of the kaffir [non-Muslim], We have to rule ourselves and we have to rule the others" [1]
* Preaches hatred of non-muslims who are repeatedly labeled as Kuffirs.[2]
* Abu Usamah saying of apostates: "Whom ever changes his religion from Al Islam to anything else kill him".[3]
* Abu Usamah speaking on the deficiency of women's minds: "Allah has created the woman, even if she gets a PhD, deficient. Her intellect is incomplete, deficient. She may be suffering from hormones that will make her emotional. It takes two witnesses of a woman to equal the one witness of the man."
* Praises the killer of a British soldier serving in Afghanistan, stating "The hero of Islam is the one who separated his head from his shoulders.” [4]
* Sheikh Al Faisal: "You have to bomb the Indian businesses, and as for the Jews you kill them physically" [5]
* Advocates violent Jihad against the non-muslims and predicting that an army of Muslims will arise against the non-muslims in England.[6]
* Dr Bilal Philips on marriage with pre-pubescent girls: "The prophet Muhammad practically outlined the rules regarding marriage prior to puberty. With his practice, he clarified what is permissible, and that is why we shouldn't have any issues about an older man marrying a younger woman, which is looked down upon by this society today, but we know that Prophet Mohammed practised it, it wasn’t abuse or exploitation, it was marriage" [7]
* Condemns Muslim integration into British society.[8]
* Calls for the overthrow of the British government and democracy.[9] "They will fight in the cause of Allah. I encourage all of you to be from among them, to begin to cultivate ourselves for the time that is fast approaching - where the tables are going to turn and the Muslims are going to be in the position of being uppermost in strength."[10]
* Dr Mian: "You are in a situation in which you have to live like a state within a state, until you take over. But until this happens, you have to preach, until you become such a force that the people they just submit to you, hands up, until you become strong enough to take over" [11]
* Sheikh Al Jibali: "by the age of 10 if she doesn't wear a hijab, we hit her."
* Dr Mian saying of the Saudi religious police: they can imprison people if they do not pray; "if you don't come for prayer, we will arrest you. But if you still don't, then we have to bring the punishment on you - you will be killed"[12]
* Abu Usamah saying that homosexuals should be killed by throwing them off a cliff, stating "throw [the homosexual] off the mountain." [13]

Jewish groups as well as members of the British Conservative and Labour parties have requested an official investigation into the alleged dissemination of hate speech at mosques. [14][15] Muslim groups such as the Islamic Human Rights Commission (IHRC) have condemned the documentary as "another example of anti-Muslim hostility," stating that it represents the "problems of inherent Islamophobia and racism within the mainstream media."[16] The Muslim Council of Britain criticized it as "heavily hyped," while its Secretary-General, Muhammad Abdul Bari, described it as employing the "dishonest tactic of selectively quoting from some recorded speeches for the purpose of misrepresentation."[17] The Islamic Cultural Center (London), the UK Islamic Mission, and the Markazi Jamiat Ahle-hadith organizations, all of whom feature in the documentary, have issued separate responses.[17] So too has Abu Usamah of Green Lane mosque, alleging that his words were taken out of context.[18] In a press release, the Saudi Arabian Embassy in London denied the charges made by the documentary, labelling them as "false allegations."[19]

The Saltley Gate Peace group, which describes itself as an inter-faith action group based at the Saltley Methodist Church in Birmingham, was reported on Wikinews as having made a press release [4] prior to the airing of the Channel 4 documentary. Wikinews records that press release as having included, amongst others, the following statements:

* That Imam Abu Usaamah, one of the preachers featured in the documentary, is acknowledged by the a significant portion of his congregation and the wider interfaith community "to be a peaceful man and is known to promote peace to his congregation", and that he has denounced terrorism.
* That the Green Lane Mosque is not known to promote extremism and the founders and committee of the mosque have always distanced themselves from such extremism
* That the UK branch of Jamiat Ahl-e-Hadith are based at the Green Lane mosque and Islamic. The statement explains that Jamiat Ahl-e-Hadith is known loosely as 'Salafism', and that this school of thought does not promote extremism. However, it concedes that there may be a minority that feel otherwise. Nonetheless it states that those following the the Salafi methodology strive to follow the earliest traditions so that their Islam is peaceful and pure.

Justice? or Just US?

So Obama gets to nominate a Supreme Court Justice and he thinks that the court is supposed to be there for the underprivilaged, to right some kind of wrong. He even goes so far as to say MY JUSTICE.

WTF! MY JUSTICE. HIS JUSTICE. Are you kidding me? It's OUR Justice. OMG people, all you people who said give this man a chance. How are you liking this CHANCE you took now?

Justice is supposed to be BLIND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here is how candidate Obama described that view at a rally in Westerville, Ohio, on March 2, 2008:
"I want my justice to understand that part of the role of the court is to look out for the people who don't have political power," Obama said. "The people who are on the outside. The people who aren't represented. The people who don't have a lot of money; who don't have connections. That's the role of the court."

"(Obama) thinks judges should have empathy for certain litigants who come before them. Of course if you have empathy for everybody who comes before you, there are two sides to every case. If you have empathy for both sides then that's the same as having no empathy at all. So what he means is he wants empathy for one side and what's wrong with that is it is being partial instead of being impartial. A judge is supposed to have empathy for no one but simply to follow the law." -says Wendy Long, legal counsel to the Judicial Confirmation Network.

Treats

My business partner is married to a man from Germany. Her mother-in- law sends items to them all the time and I'm told that she can't eat them as fast as they are sent.

So I made out like a banchee the other day with this honey made in Germany and the chocolates.

I haven't tried the lady bug one yet but it's my favorite anyway.

When I arrived home from work on Sunday evening I really needed the nugat ones. They are filled with whiskey. I ate two!

Swine Flu - Germ Warfare?

I live really close to one of the outbreaks of this Swine Flu the media is all over. Of course I'm a bit concerned.

But I am wondering why noone is connecting the dots to germ warfare. HELLLOOO. I don't care what our stoooopid President says, there IS a war on terror happening. Just because we decide not to call it that or wish to play possum with the truth that there are sick enemies out there that couldn't care less if we let our elected leader go abroad and state we are arrogant or whether or not we bomb the Taliban, they wish us dead. PERIOD!

There have been reports for many years that muslim terrorists have infiltrated Mexico and would use Mexico to perpetrate their next big attack on us. DUH!

Doesn't anyone else find it odd that this flu is so strong and easily spread and seems to be affecting mostly those who are ages 25-45? The strongest and most needed ages in any population!

KC

KC is so funny. She's sleek and big yet kind of small at the same time. Her legs and torso are so LOOOONNNNG. So often you will see her sit with her leg out just like this because of her size.
I just get such a kick out of it.
