WTF Moment For Tuesday

"In a July speech to the NAACP's national convention, Paterson implied that racism led to him being tagged "the accidental governor" when he took office after Eliot Spitzer resigned in a prostitution scandal."

In case you don't know about Governor Patterson he is a legally blind black man that was NOT elected to the office of Governor of New York State. He was second in line should anything happen to the elected Governor of New York State, who was Elliot Spitzer.

If you don't remember, Spitzer resigned with his tail between his legs after being caught hiring high-priced hookers.

But oh yes, let's call the description of "accidental" implied racism, instead of correct.

ac·ci·den·tal [ak-si-den-tl] –adjective
happening by chance or accident; not planned; unexpected: an accidental meeting

BTW the antonym would be planned

So since your acquisition of the office of Governor wasn't planned, as you weren't elected by the people of the State of New York, guess what?

And since learning about this disgusting misuse of the race card you can be sure you will NEVER ever get my vote when you try to run for office during the next election.

Accidental Governor isn't racist. It's realistic. BTW, I've never heard him referred to as anything but the governor.

Who calls him that? To paraphrase Jerry Seinfeld, "Who are these people?"

D.O.M., don't you know that everything in "their" world is racist. It's what Caroline Myss calls the culture of woundology.
