9/11/08 In Photos And Video

For My Friday Foto Finish Fiesta for Carrie's blog I give you the photos of what I saw on 9/11/08 where all the media and well wishers as well as IDIOTIC ANARCHIST protestors came, right at the site. Only the families were allowed at the actual location. This corner is one block away and where everyone comes each year.

I have never been to this area since before the attacks by Al Queda and Bin Ladin. This was my very first time. It was quite a shock to see some things.

Upon arriving I saw Menonites. I walked closer to them to see if I could snap a photo and saw this old man.

I went to take some videos of the choir and then came back to him. Not sure why he wanted to be there but I thought I'd give him a "voice" here on my blog.

This is what the crowd started to look like around 8:30am. I usually go to this location for a great cup of coffee from a vendor. I had NO idea none would be there and all this would be instead. The gaping open "hole" that allows you to see the smaller buildings in the background is where the Twin Towers used to stand. Just behind the bus you would have seen those awesome buildings.

And here are a few of the IDIOT protestors. Look how young they are. It amazes and saddens me how young they are. What does this mean for the future of our nation if these young boys are so brainwashed. We are in big trouble!

They are so fucked up that they can't realize with any honesty that they are the facists. So pathetic. If you listen closely you can hear me say they are so sick.

And before I left downtown to go home I saw this concert which was scheduled to give life and spirit to those who were affected. Something positive to leave this post with.

May all the families and friends of those who lost their lives or were injured in this terrible tragedy find some peace in the years to come.

The younger generation ~ the ones who will run this country. I'm all for questioning things, but in this instance.. there's a time that you need to come together and support one another.

Thank you for sharing what you saw. I was in NYC a year before 9/11 happened and walked by those grand buildings. I was in Maryland and New Jersey a month after 9/11.. and saw the landscape change. It seems .. empty....

Prayers to all the people who are hurting, to a nation still recovering.

what a great post. it saddens me about the protesters being there and that so many people seem to have forgotten the outrage and hurt felt that day.

Great post and great pictures of yesterday's anniversary.
And those protester's are idiots...choosing to believe that our country did this to themselves rather than a terrorist attack.

Thank you for posting this!

There is a young guy that has started working withmy husband and yesterday when everyone was takling about where they were that day this kid goes off into this conspiracy theory that Bush planned the 9/11 attacks. This outraged my husband and he actually yelled at this kid. I don't care who you are or what your political beliefs are there is no way that our President planned that horrific event. It is very scary that these young people (about my age) are acting like this.

Gypsy, Thanks for your thoughts for us from way down under.

Aleta, I think the only way to combat this is to make sure there's more people like us than them, rather than try to get them to "see the light" for they never will. :-(

Head Nut, They are so brain damaged its sad and scary for us. There's more of them than you think.

Hippie, I never went back but I am working here this month so I had no choice. I don't see why people feel the need to gawk and make specticle.

Does anybody hear me, Their argument is that Bush lied about Iraq, therefore he lied about this too. I say to that illogical thinking, OK Iran lies about the holicaust therefore they lie about the perps of 9/11 etc..

Susie, Thanks for stopping by today.

Jess, and thank goodness for that!

JWilson, Did your hubby set his straight or just yell. I'd be interested in learning more.
