It's been a stressful end to a good year. Farewell 2009 and welcome 2010. May this be the year to kick the asses out of Congress, restore some balance to our government and gain back our national security.
The good, bad and ugly:
I have been tending to a sick little fur baby. Leo is doing better now that we finally figured out what was causing his urinary problems and bleeding. He's home resting and enjoying feeling better. He is on a new diet specially made to break down the gritty gunk that his body makes from regular (albeit high grade food) in his bladder. Eight weeks on that food going into another few weeks of another formula and then we will switch to an organic uretic food for all the fur babies so that he can eat the best grade food possible.
The Vet bill came to over $700 and I looked in my jewelry box and found gold items I never remembered I had and sold them. It will cover only a portion of that bill but I'm so glad I had that option available. The Vet tech is going to talk to the doctor about reducing the bill further for me and I have a payment plan for the balance so far.
A lawyer found me on twitter, tweeting my stress away about a very excessive ticket that Nassau County imposed upon me for a minor mistake I was correcting when pulled over. He turned out to be my savings grace. After learning about my financial woes and showing him my yearly earnings he completely -- I mean 100% waived his fee and he had already gone to court for me and went back and pleaded my case further. He got all the points reduced to zero and a fine that would have been over $400 he was able to reduce to $370. Still not great but I know he worked his ass off for me. If you need him is name on twitter is @apearl and I highly recommend him.
My father was laid off a few months ago and is almost 65 but I learned the other day that he was hired for the same position he was laid off for at another credit union. I'm so happy for him. And my mother is less stressed now because of this.
I had many phone issues with Verizon and trying to work them out took a lot of time, created a lot of stress and aggravation but I believe just about everything is fixed. I had to get a new cell phone which I wasn't thrilled about and I think it has bugs causing some functions to turn on without me pressing buttons. So I will have to take care of that after the New Year begins. But for now, I have decided to take a break from that stress. It's been non-stop working around the clock 6-7 days a week and running back and forth with little sleep for the past 3 weeks.
Currently as I write this letter to all of you it's snowing outside and the roads are icy but the heat is on inside and we are all relaxing.
Wishing you and yours a happy and healthy New Year.

Something's Rotten In The State Of New York!
Early Christmas morning after a very long day and night of working I found myself waiting for the F train in midtown to go home. If you're not from New York City let me "catch you up" on what that means for subway riders. WAITING a LONG time for your train to come. Holidays and Sundays the trains run less often.
It was about 1am. I was exhausted. I wasn't sure if I'd see another soul waiting for the train because of the holiday. But I did. And in the subway you will find that if someone is in a rush they will go up to those who appear to have been waiting and ask, "how long have you been waiting for the train?" AND you always hope the answer you will hear is a long time, because that means the train is most likely coming soon.
Well to my "luck" the three people waiting for a train along with me just saw the F train to Queens come by only a few minutes before my arrival. Lucky lucky tired me. And even luckier one of the three, a man with a very obvious accent decided to chat me up. Ah but I get even luckier.
I knew the answer before I asked but where were these three people from? Egypt. Here's what I learned from the horse's mouth. They were exchange students in a school in Wisconsin. Each on a scholarship that was listed in a magazine in their country. All three were here to study in Wisconsin for free for one year. And while none of them appeared to be of college age it didn't matter to get the scholarship.
I of course challenged mentioned to this terrorist gentleman that he seemed much older than the average college student. And he told me that he was 28 and his friends were 26. Each were on scholarship for a year studying different things. He was studying journalism. Which I personally found to be bizarre, that a male would come to the USA for one year to study journalism and it would be applicable in anyway back in Egypt, where the media is monitored and run completely by the state and always has been. (Unlike here where the media has become an arm of Obama but did not start out that way.)
These three "students" had only just arrived to NYC that very night. They were studying the subway map to Brooklyn. And they were getting on the F train to Brooklyn.
Shall we take a little step back now and add this crapola story up that I was told.
3 male "students" on scholarship for 1 yr to college in Midwest
studying journalism
never been to NYC before and just arrived that day (Xmas Eve)
travelling to Brooklyn
Muslim
ages 26-28
As I continued the conversation I learn further that the stated objectives of the exchange are to teach us "our opinions of your culture so that you have a better understanding of us."
We don't give a rats ass what you fucking asshhole muslims terrorists think of our culture you brainwashed bombed strapped to your bodies and blow up innocents scum of the earth fucktards think of us. Hmmmm
So I'd like to know just who they were visiting in Brooklyn. I find it very odd that 3 people who've never been to NYC before and are from the ME on scholarship for one year know anyone in Brooklyn. Well accept that Brooklyn has a large Muslim community and is known for a lot of extremists. Hell, even in my area which was always well-known for being a Jewish community, and for which I moved to this area, I now am subjected to have women who wear the full hajib with only the freakin' slits of their eyes showing.
Why weren't these "tourists" staying at a hotel in Manhattan?
This 28 year-old Egyptian asked me with a smile on his face if I'd ever been outside of the United States.
OBNOXIOUS!
I replied that yes I have.
I was asked if I had been to the ME. And I said NO!
And then both our trains arrived. I couldn't wait to get out of there. I was tired and I was suspicious of these 3 Egyptians.
Let's just suppose that none of them are extremists. They are still here for free. Some program has invited them to come here from a place in the world that teaches the worst racist hate against anyone who isn't muslim. They are here as guests while they preach hate but have come here to tell us their opinions of us.
ROTTEN to the core!

Wednesday night, while waiting for the bus to the train to go to work I had the lovely experience of being called a dirty Jew.
More shockingly, at least to me, it was said by a black man.
Here's how it started. A group of kids walked over to the bus stop. Black man says loudly, "OH! There's those damn Jewish kids."
I turn around to see who said it and I learn it's the black man. He immediately challenges me, "You have a problem with me?!?!?"
I say, "You have a problem with Jews?"
And we're off! He's yelling his racist hate, while claiming not to be racist. I point out to him my shock that a black man who has probably been on the receiving end of racism many times in his life would turn around and be the same way to another group of people. (no less KIDS) This further infuriates this man. I then point out that some day he will have kids and I asked him, "How would you like it if someone treated your kids the way you just did to the Jewish kids?!"
And then I just started to parrot him. I wanted ever person walking by to hear his words loud and clear:
Damn Dirty Jews
You Dirty Jew
Fuck You Jew
Suck My Dick Jew
The last one was my favorite because he let me say the following:
I don't have time to search for something so small!
And this is what our society has come to. So much for all the hope and change promised. All I've seen is are more DOPES and racists!

I'm Feeling The Blahs
I had a very stressful week both personally and professionally. I'm glad it's over and a new week has begun. I'm told that Mercury is in Retrograde which explains a lot. I was witness to extreme trauma and medical abuse IMHO and it's been weighing heavy on my mind. Mix that in with some other personal "set-backs" and technical issues with my cell phone and home phone, hours of arguing with Verizon on both issues just to get the situations resolved, and not to my satisfaction mind you, and I am spent emotionally and physically.
The previous Sunday I went on a date with a twitter follower. I had sarcastically sweetly asked the single Jewish men in NYC to come out from their hiding places to contact me if they were interested in showing me a good time taking me out on a date. I made sure they knew that it would be easy to impress me since any show of money can impress a girl with no money.
My date took us to see The Klezmer Nutcracker a very cute children's theater version of the Jewish nutcracker.
The date was a perfect gentleman. He was kind and generous and took us out for lunch afterwards to a very yummy falafal joint on the UWS. The food was delicious and the company was respectful. Just what this Jewish Nutcracker ordered!

The Peace Sign Is the Anti-Christian Sign
I don't believe that those who carry the peace sign and sing about it use it in this way or even knew about this but the sad fact is that it shows just how frickin' ignorant a society we are that we do not even know the origins of so much of what we say and do.
I realized this about US many years ago when I was very good friends with a Mexican exchange student. She would constantly ask me about the history of words or the symbolism behind things we did or our forefathers did or said and I couldn't answer her and didn't even know whey she was asking me. She would then go on to tell me about why a word or phrase was used in her country and really go into depth on the history of the phrase or thing.
Thank you Steven Crowder!

Sex, Lies, & Tigers
COLE this is a go to your room day!
Well, it's kind of weird to sit here and be able to write in peace and quiet. My electricity is working properly, there are no workers making a mess of my floors, breaking walls and walking in and out.
And so I awoke to my normal routine of feeding the fur babies and making coffee and reading emails and tweets from last night after I went to sleep. I found in my inbox Phyllis Chesler's new post about Tiger Woods.
Now for me Tiger represents the symbol of what I encounter most of the time in my dating life. The only difference is that the men I meet aren't celebrities. Some make a decent living, while others get by financially. But none of them are rolling in the cashola like Tiger. And none of them have the intellectual understanding that it is a component of screwing around and getting the girls to go along with you on that without complaint. They just see it, wish for it themselves and have this need to avoid intimacy.
I've struggled here to articulate this very experience I find myself meeting so often. But Phyllis finally gave me the words to most of my dating experiences. Thank you Phyllis.
“We are talking about a locker-room like release of tension and a male need to sexually dominate women while avoiding any real intimacy.” and “Alas, there is nothing unusual about what Tiger has done.”
Last night on Twitter I asked my married male followers to tell me what it was about their now wives that made them want to date her and then of course marry her. I received two responses. I suppose I mostly have single male followers along with my female followers. I digress...
To summarize their answers, what I heard was that both couples met while they were young and dated for many years. Both men felt that the women accepted them despite their perceived faults and neither could see themselves without that woman. One was given the ultimatum to marry or she would leave him.
When I tweeted back after receiving a tweet that said he never cheated on his wife, not so much as a kiss, that I know there are good men out there, I received this response, "Oh, I don't know how good I am. lol I just never could imagine doin' something like that to someone I love so much."
Here is the comment I left on Phyllis's Post today:
I’m dumbfounded by your last sentence. Was that meant to be cheeky? Snarky?
However regarding your statements: “We are talking about a locker-room like release of tension and a male need to sexually dominate women while avoiding any real intimacy.” and “Alas, there is nothing unusual about what Tiger has done.”- as a single middle aged woman I can say you hit the nail on the head, gave the perfect words to what I encounter in the dating world.
This is fairly common with men. The only problems with this behavior is when women do not understand this or are purposely manipulated mentally and emotionally to believe this is not what is being presented to them from the men. It takes the consenting out of the situation.
I personally abhor this about single men and can smell their line of crap within 3 minutes of a 1st date. If I decide to give in to the game, for me it is being done with full knowledge and empowerment. They have won no conquest. To Kate – I do it for myself and because of THAT it IS liberating, not to prove anything to anyone.
Yes, I realize I am unique in this.

Bathroom Disaster
No this is NOT a post about smelly sh*t. This is a post about my life for the past two day.
Wed. I woke up to learn I had no electricity in my bedroom. I went to my living room and found electricity working in there. Strange. I called the building Super to see if we had lost electricity at some point in our building or if it was just me. However he did not answer. I called my building's management and told them I didn't have electricity in my bedroom and asked them whose responsibility it was to fix the situation, them or my landlord. They said them. DONE. They called the Super and got the process moving.
For the last two days I've had electricians and other various workers in my apt to break the wall in the bathroom, closet and ceiling to move wires.
Apparently the water from outside has been seeping in and has corroded the wires so much so that it made everything stop working. Whomever designed the electric in this particular apt. linked the bedroom lighting to the hallway and bathroom in my apt. LUCKY ME!
I had to call out from work and lost pay to be here to make sure all the work was finished. Here are the exciting photos.
New position for bathroom light. On the ceiling instead of above mirror where water damage is coming from exterior wall.
What my place looked like on the second day of the men working here to fix all this mess.

Socialist State , people finally woke up........ but it was too late.
Any one of these things, in and of themselves does not really matter. But.... when you add them up one by one you get a phenomenal score that points to the fact that our President is determined to make America over into a Marxist/Socialist society. All of the items in the preceding paragraphs have been put into place. All can be documented very easily. Before you disavow this, do an internet search. The last paragraph alone is not yet cast in stone. You and I will write that paragraph. Will it read as above or will it be a more happy ending for most of America ? Personally, I like happy endings.
If you are an Obama Supporter, please do not be angry with me because I think your president is a socialist. There are too many facts supporting this. If you seek the truth you will be richer for it. Don't just belittle the opposition. Search for the truth. I did. Democrats, Republicans, Independents, Constitutionalist, Libertarians and what have you, we all need to pull together. We all must pull together or watch the demise of a society that we all love and cherish. If you are a religious person, pray for our nation.
Never before in the history of America have we been confronted with problems so huge that the very existence of our country is in jeopardy. Don't rely on most television news and what you read in the newspapers for the truth. Search the internet. Yes, there is a lot of bad information, lies and distortions there too but you are smart enough to spot the fallacies. Newspapers are a dying breed. They are
currently seeking a bailout from the government. Do you really think they are about to print the truth? Obama praises all the television news networks except Fox who he has waged war against. There must be a reason. He does not call them down on any specifics, just a general battle against them. If they lie, he should call them out on it but he doesn't. Please, find the truth, it will set you free.

We Are Family
This was me in 1978. I'm 7 years old and I think this is Hershey Park. Mom looks terrific here.
I have no idea how old I am here. I'm guessing 3. Whatever was my mother thinking picking out this outfit. Was it clown day?

The Big Black Lie
"A poignant yet hilarious narrative with his life as the backdrop for a black conservatives coming of age story. Readers are treated to an insightful journey through the eyes of a black kid who had many pressures to succumb to the victimology of Democrats. The product of a broken home, a deadbeat father and poverty, Jackson had all the excuses. Using rapier wit and hilarity, Kevin provides a much needed insight into the black pathology of voting Democrat, and how he escaped to become a conservative Republican. He explains how Democrats stole the moral high ground from Republicans, and he exposes the widely overlooked history of Democrat racism past and present. Kevin challenges Republicans to reconsider how to take the fight to Democrats and gain America back. The BIG Black Lie is a must in the collection of all conservatives. The BIG Black Lie teaches the reader how to be an unapologetic conservative, something the Republican Party does not have enough of these days. Readers will become empowered by The BIG Black Lie. Kevin's book shows first hand that no one ever has a reason for being a perpetual victim. His raw, revealing, honest story about his father and upbringing only reaffirms that regardless of your circumstances, one can still find a foundation of values and virtues in their lives, that can assure them success in all walks of life. This should be a must read for all high schools and libraries.-- Armstrong Williams, Conservative Political Pundit, Columnist, and Radio Show Host "
The bolded thoughts highlight my personal reasons why I no longer consider myself a liberal nor can I ever align myself with those who do consider themselves liberals. While I am staunchly independent and do not follow any one particular party-line I do consider myself a MOSTLY conservative. And where we disagree I will seek to challenge through facts along with my opinions and because of that we both win.

Double Standard Answers To My Dating Tweets I Find Ironic
A few days ago I posted this dating story and a male follower tweeted me back: "he is honest though and thats a good thing."
Why is it that when I'm asked what it is I want and I list my wants I often hear: "Do you think you're a little picky?"
Why am I not "at least honest and that's a good thing" ?
Here's what I list:
Depth of character and an appealing personality are more important to me than a man's job title and social status. I have a hearty and infectious laugh. Hopefully we'll be laughing a lot together. I'm going to be attracted to the man who understands that I'm going to challenge him. If you spend enough time with me you're gonna hear the F word. I'm going to show you my lunatic side. Jewish and living in or around NYC a must. I'm looking for an honest man. Intellectually challenging but not a blow-hard about it. Degrees, Ivy-League, and world travelling don't impress me. Character is the key. Kindness and a willingness to share in his knowledge and ideas a must. My list of adjectives or must-haves is short: You have depth of character and insight about the world. You’re grounded in spirituality, but not religious. We have compatible views, and where we might differ you respect mine. Easy right? I’ve found happiness and contentment in my life. I think I’m just missing you. If you want to know more – and of course there’s much more to know – get in touch! Let’s find out!

What A Truely Honest Male Profile On JDate Would Say
I measure my worth by the age of the woman I seek. While I'm of the age of carrying and needing viagara to show you a good time in the bedroom I refuse to date a woman older than 35. Even though I myself am 45 + I seek to meet only women (barely more than girls) the age of 26-35. I have no desire for a women of my own age because she might have opinions and a mind of her own. I might actually risk having to share thoughts and experiences that she might try to inject and quite frankly women over 35 have too many thoughts. Better to find a much much younger woman than myself, well because I earned it. I worked on my career and I have some money. I've been quite selfish over my 45+ years and spent my time and money on me only, going to the gym and I'm ripped so I think that gives me the right to have a mate/spouse that is more than 10 years my junior, a woman who hasn't developed herself yet and I can manipulate. Yeah yeah yeah!

Holder Is A Fraud & Is Holding The American People Hostage
Atty General Holder is brining the mastermind of 9/11 and the murderer of Daniel Pearl to NYC to be tried in our federal courts.
Attorney General Holder's own law firm has been representing these terrorists. He should recuse himself. That he has not should be the screaming alarm from every media point. That it is not, is more alarming than that last fact.
Holder stated and it was reported on Thursday morning on FOX news in response to concerns that if KSM is found not guilty in our federal court system he would not be set out on the streets of NYC but instead...and read this slowly now...would then be considered an enemy combatant and held indefinitely by the government.
This is a joke, a rouse. This is not about trying these bastards who declared war on us and killed my fellow NYers that day as well as those at the Pentagon and in the planes. Yes, remember that day folks? They took living breathing human beings, American citizens and our planes they were in and used those planes as the biggest missiles, bigger than military made missiles and flew them directly into 3 buildings, one plane being taken over by the hostages and taken down, exploding in a field PA.
This move to the federal system isn't about giving them a trial because the Obama Administration stopped the military trials that the Bush Administration along with the International Community set up through international laws that had begun at GITMO.
This is about putting our justice system on trial itself.
Think about it. Millions of dollars will be spent on this. The feds will try to bankrupt NYS and NYC with this trial putting all the burden on my city and state completely. After years of legal bullshit, if KSM gets off, like OJ did then the Obama Administration can lambaste our system, can now use it as a weapon to dismantle it calling it illegitimate, a failure... the reason they have to hold KSM in custody without a guilty verdict.
And this is what they want. Make no mistakes about it. This is the goal.
This is not simply about putting the Bush Administration on trial. This is about putting our entire system on trial. THE ENTIRE THING.
We cannot let this happen. If we do, you can be sure this is what will happen. You can be sure they will use this as a way to fundamentally change our nation once and for all. Nullify the justice system.

Mammograms and Test Balloons- Guest Post
Today's post is from one of my very favorite people and bloggers: Aleta. Please check out her blog here when you're done reading her guest post today.
The Obama admin has sent up it's first test balloon on healthcare rationing. The admin has gotten medical groups to endorse mammograms as being "unnecessary" for women under 50 years old. This is a precursor to healthcare rationing beginning with the significant cost of preventive mammograms. This "test ballon" is to get public reaction to the idea that the one payer, gov option plan WON'T cover any mamms for women under 50.
It doesn't matter that untold numbers of women even in their 30s die very year from breast cancer. It doesn't matter that the FDA TRIED (although unsuccesfully) to destroy our oyster industry because of only 12 deaths per year.
The report is that MOST discoveries of tumors in women under 50 are only benign in nature. That ignores ALL those women, under 50, who WOULD HAVE DIED, had their breast cancer not been discoverd. It ignores the fact that it COST MUCH LESS to treat this cancer in the EARLY STAGES.
This will save the gov run plan untold zillions in dollars and FORCE folks to get additonal coverage that will be MORE expensive than ever. Insurance companies who are targets of the gov plan, will make EVEN more money by providing this coverage that women WON'T go without.
If you had ANY doubt about where this healtcare plan is headed, you shouldn't have it now. Next will be colonoscopies and prostate exams.
This "test balloon" MUST be shot down NOW.

Captured On My Cell Phone - Drunk Guy @ 50th Street Uptown E Train
Tuesday night, November 10, 2009 around 10:35PM upon entering the subway I saw this guy. I only had my cell phone to capture the moment. Too bad I didn't have my other video camera to truly capture his face. 30 second shots only...but funny nonetheless. He never ever realized I was filming him. I wonder if someone was filming me film him. LOL

Black Derangement Syndrome
How can I explain what happened to me and many others right now as anything but Black Derangement Syndrome?
And if you need a further definition Dorothy Rabinowitz of online WSJ defines it like this: a palpitating fear of discomfiting facts and a willingness to discard those facts and embrace the richest possible variety of ludicrous theories as to the motives behind an act
You can present fact after fact after fact but nothing matters to people like this who are brain washed.
I had a worrisome incident at work the other night. Now we all know that writing about our jobs on our blogs for those of us who do not do that for a living is a tricky topic...so bear with me if I leave out some details.
At the end of my shift, I put on my winter coat. On the bottom of the coat sleeve is my Bloomberg button. a co-worker whom I have known for more than a year and had only quick and good interactions with thus far saw the button.
He is a black man. Hence Black Derangement Syndrome.
At first I thought he was just talking with me. Nothing in our past has ever suggested that this was not a few simple civil words in disagreement.
Then I thought perhaps he was poking me, kidding with me, since we have a history of silly stupid and quick words to make each other giggle and then move on with our work days.
But quickly I realized this man was raging. Before I knew it I was being called a dictator oh and yes don't forget I'M GREEDY. We're Greedy. Corps are GREEDY. And listening to how all the taxes we spend should go to the people not the corporations and social justice and help the homeless and the unemployed.
I love how marxist libtards cherry pick who is greedy! I guess to him this is not greed:
Total Personal Staff members for other first ladies paid by taxpayers:
Mamie Eisenhower : 1 paid for personally out of President's salary
Jackie Kennedy: 1
Roseline Carter: 1
Barbara Bush: 1
Hilary Clinton: 3
Laura Bush: 1
Michele Obama: 22
Now did he want to hear anything I had to say? I'm sure you know the answer to that.
He was sitting down, while I stood up -leaning into me, nose to nose with me. Turning his head left and right, in my face. I held out my arm to create space. I said, "Our differences in opinion need not create bad blood between us at work." He was standing next to me now. He put his hand on my arm just above my elbow and tried to shove me away as he screamed at me, "You can have your opinions over there! You just want to shut me up dictator!"
Well I guess being bottom heavy has it's advantages because I wasn't going anywhere and I said to this man, "Take your hands off me." I had to say it two times. All this while security watched but did nothing.
He did take his hands off me and I walked away.
I will tell you I did get a few minor words in edgewise although when you're dealing with Black Derangement Syndrome apparently this only serves to infuriate the raging person.
In regard to his unemployment outrage and the bad economy I calmly said (as this was at the start of all this), "Who makes the laws that have the control over these situations?" He said not local government. Correct. I then said, "OK so who is the one making policy and laws that are affecting our jobs and economy?" He was quiet. So I explained, "The Federal Government." And then I said, "Who is the federal government?"
I also pointed out that locally in NYC we have a City Council. "Who makes up the majority in the City Council?" No answer. Me, "The Democrats. And Bloomberg can do nothing without their help."
Nonetheless, because of our current political climate and I squarely blame Obama, his henchmen and his cronies who dribble down to the very level of what I experienced the other night, I was assaulted at work, for wearing my Bloomberg button which outraged this man. This same man who wore his Obama button during working hours for month and months squarely under his chin on his coat lapel every single night.
How's that for tolerance, unity and multiculturalism?

Congratulations New York Yankees
What a game that was to watch last night. I went to my neighborhood bar and watched with the other Yankee Fans...and some Mets fans who were gracious.
I've been somewhat of a hermit the past couple of years. I've been super focused on my career and with my dating past, feeling so burned and cautious besides the online dating here and there I've rarely put myself in a social situation. So one of my goals has been to "get the fuck out of my apt." So on the first game night of the series I walked to this bar that looks laid back and I walked in and they guys in there are nice. They are mostly older guys who I could tell would treat me with respect and not be disgusting and hit on me like 23 year olds do. And there are a few guys who are closer in my age and fun to talk to and also behave themselves. And that is the perfect comfort zone for me.
So alas, I walked back in last night around 9PM. There were no spots left at the bar. I sat my ass down at a table with a guy (older than me by leaps and bounds) who was sitting alone. He was very kind, sweet and yes he liked me. It was obvious. And to be honest I really do not know how to handle these things very well. Do I make light of it, just say thank you, tease or ignore. I just don't know. I did my best. He was so kind and nice and not gross about it at all.
He bought me some drinks and we had really nice conversation and best of all I got to watch my Yankees win for the 27th time! It was a great game and fun night out. It barely cost me a dime. I like the bar tenders and the crowd and I feel like I finally have a hang out in my neighborhood for myself.
Congratulations Yankees!
PS- re: previous post: I deleted the guys number. I just don't like how I feel. I should be feeling great and he should be making me feel great and that is just not happening.

Because I Say The Things You All Are Thinking
I'm probably a bit too much about self-inquiry. But the more I ask for points of reference the more I learn that all my friends and many of those I'm not friends with all have the same thoughts and feelings and insecurities as I do. The biggest difference between them and me is that I am vocal about it, I question, I speak and I write it here on my blog.
I've realized over the last few years that I am a perfectionist. And as such I wish that my output was perfection but I never feel even close to it. I beat myself up a lot about things that everyone else also experiences but for some reason I have always felt I was not allowed to experience...screw up or make mistakes.
But I'm working on it! I have some great bloggy friends and RL friends who are setting me straight and teaching me how to be kind to me about this stuff.
I recently (finally) met a guy I'm attracted to. I can't say if it will continue past this week, this day or not. I just know that it already tested a limit of mine and has made my head spin about myself. My insecurities are raging. This guy talks too damn much and I think too damn much. He's articulate and was so confident that it actually made me start to shake and pull back and not let go. I'm surprised at myself. I'm usually the bold one, the confident one, the hot head, the big mouth.
The most interesting thing is that this guy is extremely articulate and asks good questions in those moments however what he thinks is happening in my head is based upon his experiences with other women and lets face it, I'm not like most women. My hang ups are very different. I didn't hold back with him because of body issues (although he asked - and then awesomely told me about every part of me he liked and why!) I held back but could not tell him so, because I was faced with my own crossroads of what I want vs. what I am living and I couldn't make peace with it in that particular moment. And I just couldn't tell him. He sincerely wanted to know but I couldn't tell him and I found myself telling him that I liked him but he talks too damn much. He laughed. And I am positive he has been told this many times before.
I'm unsure if this will go past this very day. The ball is squarely in his court. I know I will not chase. And that is all I know.

My Favorite NYC Mayoral Candidates
I've been wrestling with how to present this material to you. You see I have two very juicy people to present to you. Do I savor this for two posts or one? Should I comment or just show you the scanned in bios that these candidates wrote themselves and were published in the New York City Campaign Finance Board 2009 General Election Voter Guide that is mailed to every person in NYC.
There's so much I could point out from the obvious to the more subtle but I'm thinking I'll let you look at them both and hope that you'll leave your comments as you notice these things for yourself. It will be fun for all of us to read the comments.
Please click on each image in order to read full through and PLEASE read full through.
And now for your reading pleasure I present to you:

Rights Watchdog, Lost in the Mideast
Rights Watchdog, Lost in the Mideast (from The New York Times - posted here because I don't trust that rag to keep this up.)
By ROBERT L. BERNSTEIN
Published: October 19, 2009
AS the founder of Human Rights Watch, its active chairman for 20 years and now founding chairman emeritus, I must do something that I never anticipated: I must publicly join the group’s critics. Human Rights Watch had as its original mission to pry open closed societies, advocate basic freedoms and support dissenters. But recently it has been issuing reports on the Israeli-Arab conflict that are helping those who wish to turn Israel into a pariah state.

At Human Rights Watch, we always recognized that open, democratic societies have faults and commit abuses. But we saw that they have the ability to correct them — through vigorous public debate, an adversarial press and many other mechanisms that encourage reform.
That is why we sought to draw a sharp line between the democratic and nondemocratic worlds, in an effort to create clarity in human rights. We wanted to prevent the Soviet Union and its followers from playing a moral equivalence game with the West and to encourage liberalization by drawing attention to dissidents like Andrei Sakharov, Natan Sharansky and those in the Soviet gulag — and the millions in China’s laogai, or labor camps.
When I stepped aside in 1998, Human Rights Watch was active in 70 countries, most of them closed societies. Now the organization, with increasing frequency, casts aside its important distinction between open and closed societies.
Nowhere is this more evident than in its work in the Middle East. The region is populated by authoritarian regimes with appalling human rights records. Yet in recent years Human Rights Watch has written far more condemnations of Israel for violations of international law than of any other country in the region.
Israel, with a population of 7.4 million, is home to at least 80 human rights organizations, a vibrant free press, a democratically elected government, a judiciary that frequently rules against the government, a politically active academia, multiple political parties and, judging by the amount of news coverage, probably more journalists per capita than any other country in the world — many of whom are there expressly to cover the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
Meanwhile, the Arab and Iranian regimes rule over some 350 million people, and most remain brutal, closed and autocratic, permitting little or no internal dissent. The plight of their citizens who would most benefit from the kind of attention a large and well-financed international human rights organization can provide is being ignored as Human Rights Watch’s Middle East division prepares report after report on Israel.
Human Rights Watch has lost critical perspective on a conflict in which Israel has been repeatedly attacked by Hamas and Hezbollah, organizations that go after Israeli citizens and use their own people as human shields. These groups are supported by the government of Iran, which has openly declared its intention not just to destroy Israel but to murder Jews everywhere. This incitement to genocide is a violation of the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide.
Leaders of Human Rights Watch know that Hamas and Hezbollah chose to wage war from densely populated areas, deliberately transforming neighborhoods into battlefields. They know that more and better arms are flowing into both Gaza and Lebanon and are poised to strike again. And they know that this militancy continues to deprive Palestinians of any chance for the peaceful and productive life they deserve. Yet Israel, the repeated victim of aggression, faces the brunt of Human Rights Watch’s criticism.
The organization is expressly concerned mainly with how wars are fought, not with motivations. To be sure, even victims of aggression are bound by the laws of war and must do their utmost to minimize civilian casualties. Nevertheless, there is a difference between wrongs committed in self-defense and those perpetrated intentionally.
But how does Human Rights Watch know that these laws have been violated? In Gaza and elsewhere where there is no access to the battlefield or to the military and political leaders who make strategic decisions, it is extremely difficult to make definitive judgments about war crimes. Reporting often relies on witnesses whose stories cannot be verified and who may testify for political advantage or because they fear retaliation from their own rulers. Significantly, Col. Richard Kemp, the former commander of British forces in Afghanistan and an expert on warfare, has said that the Israel Defense Forces in Gaza “did more to safeguard the rights of civilians in a combat zone than any other army in the history of warfare.”
Only by returning to its founding mission and the spirit of humility that animated it can Human Rights Watch resurrect itself as a moral force in the Middle East and throughout the world. If it fails to do that, its credibility will be seriously undermined and its important role in the world significantly diminished.
Robert L. Bernstein, the former president and chief executive of Random House, was the chairman of Human Rights Watch from 1978 to 1998.

Facebook took down my personal account because I posted http://bit.ly/1TB16w
Someone reported me and they didn't even contact me to say what was happening. Just simply took my account down.
So Now I'm exposing Facebook for the racist antisemites that they are.

Me the victim, the Jew who is being accused of baby killing has had her account closed down. What the FUCK is up with that site and the people who run it. Are you kidding me? Do you know the filth they allow up? Do you know the hate groups that are allowed to run on FACEBOOK? Do you? I expose a story that is true, that lives on the .gov website of Obama and I am shut down?
I am asking that you contact abuse@facebook.com and tell them to put my account back as it was and to apologize for prejudging and discriminating against me. I should also be allowed to know who my accuser was. Please email me for my full FACEBOOK account name so you can do this properly for me.
Also here is their telephone number 650-543-4800
If you have updates please let me know. Thank you in advance.
UPDATE as of about 4pm Easter: my account was reinstated. I am sure it was because of the numerous emails and calls that I know many of my twitter and blog followers made. Thanks for putting the pressure on them.
UPDATE TO UPDATE: Again Friday the 23rd they closed my account...no notice no reason just locked me out. What is up with FACEBOOK. I guess NO JEWS ALLOWED!
