Facts! I want the facts not rhetoric. And it seems that 17K scientists, many trained in physics, geophysics, climate science, meteorology, oceanography, chemistry, biology and biochemistry have concluded that humans and our "output" are NOT causing climate change formerly coined global warming.
Before you read the factual information below please note that I the author of this blog do believe that we pollute and emit carcinogens and that we can better use our resources as I'm sure most other conservatives, independents and right leaning moderates also feel.
The screaming left radicals have hijacked the storylines and I'm taking them back one post at a time. They'll have you believe we are evil, don't care about the world we live in and want to pollute. That's utter garbage. PUN INTENDED!
But none of their agenda has anything to do with actually cleaning up our envirnonment and none of their beliefs show any proof that climate is changing in a way that will end our planet and cause the continents to change the way they profess. Their entire agenda is about controlling people for the greater good of a very very handful of lucky people sitting at the top who will continue to fly their planes to .....I dunno where will they fly....let's just say Coppenhagan, no that wouldn't be ONE plane, that would be two planes, and own mansions that produce more electricity than entire cities, while you and I scrape $100 together every month for our electricity bill ontop of whatever we used to pay for that utility. It's a ruse people. It's a friggin ruse to get you to put more $$ in their pockets.
OK factual rant over...Now read the facts.
''There is no convincing scientific evidence that human release of carbon dioxide, methane, or other greenhouse gases is causing (or will in the foreseeable future cause) catastrophic heating of the earth's atmosphere and disruption of the earth's climate. Moreover, there is substantial scientific evidence that increases in atmospheric carbon dioxide produce many beneficial effects upon the natural plant and animal environments of the earth.''
The carping of an oil-industry flack? The ignorant mutterings of fringe antienvironmentalists?
No. It is a petition signed by nearly 17,000 US scientists, half of whom are trained in the fields of physics, geophysics, climate science, meteorology, oceanography, chemistry, biology, or biochemistry. The statement was circulated by the Oregon Institute of Science and Medicine along with an eight-page abstract of the latest research on climate change. The abstract - written for scientists but comprehensible by laymen - concludes that there is no basis for believing (1) that atmospheric CO2 is causing a dangerous climb in global temperatures, (2) that greater concentrations of CO2 would be harmful, or (3) that human activity leads to global warming in the first place.
The cover letter accompanying the petition and abstract was penned by Frederick Seitz, a past president of the National Academy of Sciences. (All these documents are available online at www.oism.org/pproject.) The scientific ''consensus'' on global warming, it turns out, does not exist.
More than 100 climate scientists have endorsed the Leipzig Declaration, which describes the Kyoto treaty as ''dangerously simplistic, quite ineffective, and economically destructive.'' The endorsers include prominent scholars, among them David Aubrey of the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute; Larry Brace of NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center; meteorologist Austin Hogan, who co-edits the journal Atmospheric Research; Richard Lindzen, the Sloane Professor of Meteorology at MIT; and Patrick Michaels, a University of Virginia professor and past president of the American Association of State Climatologists.
''The dire predictions of a future warming have not been validated by the historic climate record,'' the Leipzig Declaration says bluntly. ''In fact, most climate specialists now agree that actual observations from both weather satellites and balloon-borne radiosondes show no current warming whatsoever - in direct contradiction to computer model results.'' The declaration, plus a wealth of information on every aspect of the global warming controversy, is posted at the Web site of the Science & Environmental Policy Project, www.sepp.org.
Update: The BBC's amazing U-turn on climate change and then there's this story filled with facts from the man who started The Weather Channel.
It's your choice...science or propaganda. Choose to be a tool? Get what you deserve.

I am not convinced that global warming is such the alarming issue it is made out too be. The planet has gone through stages of warming and cooling ever since it's creation. Humans have only been keeping weather records for about 150 years, so how come we are suddenly the experts on weather? We can't even accurately predict tomorrow's weather/temperature most of the time.
Our Prime Minister says that anyone who ignores the pressing global warming warnings is like an ostrich sticking it's head in the sand. I say he needs to stick his head into some information/facts before rushing into making decisions which will affect our nation for years to come (including raising energy cost to develop 'greener' options, which may or may not turn out to actually be 'greener')
Thanks for the website address - it looks very interesting.
