AP Smears Palin

The Associated Press has turned to Yellow Journalism. OK this isn't new to them, it has been a problem for a long time.

'Yellow journalism can quickly be defined as journalism in which factual reporting is replaced with sensationalism. Sound familiar? Yellow journalism comes down to you getting only the information one deems necessary to give or lend more credibility to, as opposed to presenting you with all the known information. Yellow dandelions anyone? You're offered the more dramatic half of the story, which only leaves you with fifty-percent of the information on which to base your decision or opinion."

Here's the HEADLINE:

And here is the actually story if you actually click through to read it:

Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin mistook some of her own fans for hecklers Monday at a rally that drew thousands.
A massive crowd of at least 20,000 spread across the parking lot of Richmond International Raceway. Scores of people on the outer periphery more than 100 yards from the stage could not hear.

"Louder! Louder!" they began chanting, and the cry spread across the crowd to Palin's left.
Some pointed skyward, urging that the volume be increased.

Palin stopped her remarks briefly and looked toward the commotion.
"I hope those protesters have the courage and honor to give veterans thanks for their right to protest," she said.
Some in the crowd tried to shout toward her what was really being said, but she couldn't hear them.

It would be funny, the "mis-information" if it didn't have the yellow, under-belly, theme of trying to misguide someone intentionally.

But no one would read it if it said "Problem with sound system at Palin rally."

And, by the way, most only read the headlines, so they (AP) got what they wanted.
