Chuck is like all the rest--arrogant. The longer anyone is in office the worse they get.
I was talking with my hair dresser about this situation. She said, "People aren't paying attention. You need to talk to your congressmen and tell them you don't want this. Old people will be the ones to suffer from this. Did you read about some of the stuff in Canada? One lady was in her 60's and she needed work done on her leg. The insurance company told her no, because she was too old. Too old! Nobody gets younger. They are just letting the older generation die off and not caring about them. That's what will happen in America too."
She was pretty upset about it.. and I can't blame her. He's pushing this too hard and fast and if anyone has any common sense, they should realize there's a reason for the hard push.
@D.O.M. - Hope you're feeling better. I think this goes deeper than you are getting at.
@ Aleta- I did call Schumer's office in DC on Monday. You should have heard me yelling at them while standing on the corner. I'm yelling "do you think I am stupid? don't lie to me!"
I'm afraid too many people are walking around with their heads in the clouds feeling all hopey and changey and whistling into the sky while this bill gets pushed through. They AREN'T paying attention to the details and it's making me crazy!
@bettejo, no they aren't paying attention. I had an email exchange with someone who said she was for it and wouldn't sign the petition against it. She's a senior. I was shocked. I told her a few details and she said she didn't realize that and would look into it further.
