"Students fiddle with them during class and arrange swaps - trading, say, a bracelet with a mermaid for one with a dragon - when they should be concentrating on schoolwork, teachers say. Sometimes a trade goes bad - kids get buyer's remorse too - and hard feelings, maybe even scuffles, ensue."
Oooooooooooooooooooooooo hard feelings, maybe even scuffles, ensue. OOOOOOOOOOOOO the horror, that we might let our children experience interpersonal relationships where they might have to learn bargaining skills, conflict resolution and how to work out jealousies. Horrid! Horrid I tell ya!
This is the new red pen. I just wrote about this stupidity here.
G-d forbid the teachers use this a chance to TEACH about these subjects or the company that made them and what inspired the company which would be incredibly interesting to the students and start an intellectual conversation.

I read about this the other day and had to laugh. Kids will have or cause distractions, no matter what, there will be a "latest" craze and or a new bad habit or something. Mom deals with it every year. Funny how people need something to dramatize over. Lol.
