Park51 developer Sharif El-Gamal has a history of run-ins with the law

Here's the truth about the developer for the Ground Zero Mosque. Check out the highlighted red lines. THUGS! This is who is developing "the mosque of tolerance"
Because so much of what is posted online that isn't PC is taken down, I've copied and pasted the story here and put up screen shots for you below as well.

Years before his latest real-estate project ignited an uproar, Sharif El-Gamal racked up at least seven run-ins with the law, including a bust for patronizing a prostitute.

"I regret many things that I did in my youth. I have not always led a perfect life," El-Gamal, 37, said in a statement to the Daily News.

His most recent arrest was for a Sept. 10, 2005, assault on a barber who sublet a Manhattan apartment from El-Gamal's brother, Sammy.

The brothers and another man went to the apartment that afternoon to retrieve back rent from Mark Vassiliev, criminal and civil court records show.

El-Gamal allegedly cursed at Vassiliev, called him the Arabic curse word "sharmouta" and punched him in the face, breaking his nose and cheekbones.

When he was arrested, El-Gamal denied he socked Vassiliev, but conceded, "[Vassiliev's] face could have run into my hand," court papers say.

"I am in real estate. I'm rich. Why would I do this? Why would I jeopardize my career? I'm not a thug," he told cops.

He was charged with misdemeanor assault and harassment. Charges were dropped in 2007 after Vassiliev sued.

El-Gamal eventually settled the civil case for $15,000 - and the 2008 negotiations provided a glimpse into his finances.

Vassiliev's lawyer, Erik L. Gray, said there was no indication El-Gamal had assets beyond a $1.1 million upper West Side pad he owned with his wife.

Even after El-Gamal inked the deal, he was slow to pay and the matter ended up in mediation - where his lawyer, Marshall Isaacs, told Gray there were money problems.

"He had told me [El-Gamal] was struggling financially and was having trouble coming up with the payment," Gray said. "It was based on the fact that he was in real estate and the real estate market was depressed."

El-Gamal agreed to fork over $1,360 in interest and fees but paid up in installments, Gray said.

If his 2008 cries of poverty were genuine, El-Gamal experienced a dramatic reversal of fortune a year later, scoring a $39 million mortgage to buy a W. 27th St. commercial building.

He had a partner, Egyptian-born businessman Hisham Elzanaty, who co-signed the loan. Elzanaty denied to discuss his dealings with El-Gamal.

In a deposition for the Vassiliev suit, El-Gamal testified he worked as a waiter from 1997 to 2001 when he "moved onto greener pastures."

In 2002, he became a commercial real estate broker and started his own company, Soho Properties, a year later.

El-Gamal began amassing a property portfolio in 2007, snatching up and managing apartment buildings in Harlem and Washington Heights.

He bought the property where he plans to build a $100 million Islamic cultural center, two blocks from Ground Zero, for nearly $5 million in July 2009.

The son of a bank executive, El-Gamal has said he turned to Islam after 9/11[just What exactly turns them into zealots? Certainly not Americans...but the terrorists that flew our people into our buildings and murdered us!] and that his religious awakening followed a troubled youth.

He pleaded guilty in 1994, 1998 and 1999 to disorderly conduct in Manhattan.

He also pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct in 1990, DWI in 1992 and attempted petit larceny in 1993, Nassau County prosecutors said.

Details were unavailable, but a source confirmed a 1994 arrest for patronizing a prostitute.

El-Gamal says he's a different man now.

"My faith teaches me every day about humility. I have been humbled by my imperfections. But my faith also teaches me about forgiveness," he said in the statement.

"While I might not be proud of some of my actions in the past, I am extremely proud of the Park51 project and what it will mean to thousands of New Yorkers of all faiths and denominations who live in Lower Manhattan."

The Progressives Fight For Freedom of Religion in Favor of GZ Mosque But Join Boycotts Against Israel

Crazycatkid gets the attribution today. She found this great post at Dry Bones.

Over at Atlas Shruggs you can find the following photo. I had been searching for a while to find this online and Geller was able to find it and post it first.
But it seems that evidence, facts matter not to leftists, progressives, for they have some void in their life that allows them to feel so empty that they need to have something, even if its devoid of reason to belong to that makes them feel they are standing up for someone else, perhaps in place of the time when they should have done it for themselves and didn't and feel robbed of that time. So they search for that place to belong and to right their own personal wrong. And these bastards take advantage of their emotional void and these idiots flock to these people.

So sick.

Yes, that is Hitler with the Grand Mufti.  The Muslims/Moslems collaborated with Hitler. We got rid of Hitler but we did not get rid of the Islamic Moslems and we let Hilter live within their societies. And now we have the horridness we are living today.

Being kind to the cruel results in cruelty to the kind.

The United States and Israel have always bent over backwards to be kind to not only their friends but their enemies. The return on investment has been it's own people taking down (or attempting to at this point in time) our great society. "A mean country" I believe was the quote from Michelle Obama. And there are many young people who agree with her.

I'll attempt to explain.

You see America is not a perfect place. And while we are free to explore all our possibilities, in the process we often get kicked down. Because other people are also free to say no to us. And the 20-somethings and younger have been raised by the worst parents in our history, who taught them that everyone is a winner and gave them everything they asked for and now these grown ups are spoiled brats who cannot handle when they do not get what they feel entitled to at every turn. HORRID, it's the governments fault, they're so mean. The government should do what Mommy and Daddy did for us growing up and make everything equal. Everyone got a blue ribbon at our science fair! Michelle Obama must be right.

RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

And that's how you grow a progressive to hate their own country, that gave them the opportunity to have parents that spoiled them rotten to the core.

So these whiny brats will boycott Israel, the only nation in the ME to give Gays any rights at all and the only nation in the ME that gives "Palestinians" the right to work and to be in government, and the only nation in the ME that gives women freedom and equal rights.

So these whiny brats can stand and call people like myself bigots and racists while fighting for a BUILDING in the name of freedom of religion for a people who will not renounce Hamas and will take money from Saudi Arabia to build this mosque.

Hamas/Hisbollah calls for the complete annihilation of the Jews everywhere. Saudi Arabia will not let a Jew into their country, and will not let someone with a stamp from Israel in their passport into their country. Oh and let's not forget to attribute the Saudis properly with their latest inhumane ways.  Even CNN is telling you that this is allowable under SHARIA LAW:
"(CNN) -- Amnesty International on Friday urged Saudi Arabian authorities not to paralyze a man as punishment for his having paralyzed someone else, allegedly during a fight. The Saudi newspaper Okaz reported that the judge in the case had sent letters to several hospitals in Saudi Arabia asking if they could sever a man's spinal cord, as the man he allegedly stabbed had requested and, under sharia law, was his right to seek."

I won't hold my breathe waiting for these sissy-pants bleeding heart progressives to demonstrate against this. No No, they are too busy protesting in support of the MOSQUE at GZ that supports the Saudis  and Sharia law in the name of Freedom of Religion.

Inflammatory?

At the protest I attended this Sunday, some guy stopped by to tell me that protesting against the mosque "seemed inflammatory."

Hmmmmmmmmmmm...

Here's what I find inflammatory:

Mecca was built over Quraysh, the center for pagan worship, Al-Aqsa was built on Judaism’s Temple Mount, St. John the Baptist church, Damascus was demolished and replaced, St. Sophia Basilica in Istanbul was transformed into a mosque and in Cordoba, a city conquered by jihad (holy war of dominance), the Moors transformed a Christian cathedral into the third largest mosque in the world.

Bet you thought that the Muslims have been in the Middle East on those lands forever. They'd have you believe that with all their talk of Palestinians and land for peace.

The Muslims and the Progressives would have you believe that the "white man" has been the oppressor and the imperialist but the truth of the matter is that the Muslims were the imperialists and continue to be today.

True that many Europeans came to the new world and conquered. That is how the Spanish language spread. And contrary to the last (pathetic) guy I dated who psychotically believes that his Spanish ancestors came to their part of the new world peacefully and peacefully co-habitated with the natives [can't stop laughing at that one]...but I digress...they are not doing that today.

Today the Muslims are doing this. Yesterday the Muslims were doing this. And if we do not speak up now then tomorrow we will be living under Sharia here in the US.

Inflammatory for me to say? Really?

Then please explain away DAWA to me.

Dawa is Islamic proselytizing and in Islamic law dawa precedes jihad. You call the nonbelievers to Islam, and if they refuse to accept it, then you initiate a jihad against them. But the whole goal of both dawa and jihad is to impose Islamic law or sharia upon the nonbelievers as a political system, not as a religious one.

Why am I and every other person who feels as strongly as I feel about standing up to Islam, against Islam?

Because Islam is a political ideology and a cult! It is NOT a religion.

None of us care about how anyone decides to worship god. Worshiping god is between each individual and god alone. And that can be done in any place: the street, the country, in the park, your home, in your head.

If you read the words from the Koran you will see that it is all about how to rule over others. It has a court system of justice and punishment, taxes, life and death. It encumbers everything. It is cruel.

There are enough countries that are Islamic. If you want to live under that system then go there and get out of my free country.

FOX's Boss is Financing the Ground Zero Mosque

That's correct. You read the headline right!
FOX News’ second biggest shareholder, Saudi Prince Al-Waleed Bin Talal is financing the Ground Zero mosque.

Will we get honest coverage? So far they haven't named him on FOX news and the coverage has been minimal. WHY?

Bin Talal now owns 5.7% stock in FOX Newscorp.

And the money trail continues.

Con Edison Owns the Building Where Park51 Wants Their Mosque

I saw an ad on FOX today to call Con Edison since they own the building that is near Ground Zero, where the Burlington Coat Factory used to be, and where the wheels of the plane that flew into The Twin Towers ended up along with human remains that are there to this day.

I waited through all the prompts and finally spoke to some customer service representative to register my complaint about selling the building to this evil Imam.

Mr. Spence, the Con Ed representative told me that the building's lease holder was exercising his right to purchase the building and that he held the lease for 38 years. Hmmm 38 years. This Imam has been holding this lease for 38 years. Because as Mr. Spence put it "the lease holder had it in his lease as a right to purchase the building while holding the lease."

I want proof that this Imam has had this lease for 38 years. How dare they sell this building to these Hamas loving bastards.

Please call 800-75-CONED and register your anger against this sale to these monsters.

@ Ground Zero Protesting The Park 51 Mosque

I went down to Ground Zero today. I went in search of the protest sponsored by Pamela Geller but when I arrived at the location the police told me that they had marched to another location.

I saw a lot of media trucks and I thought that was a good thing for a change. Unfortunately I didn't see the protest I was looking for.

If you've ever been to NYC or live here you know how the subways can be on a Sunday. It took me a long time and three trains before I even arrived to find the protest gone.

So I walked toward Ground Zero hoping to find the group. I never found them but I did find another similar group protesting the building of the Park51 Mosque just around the corner from Ground Zero and I joined them.

Let me start by saying that to any baffoon who tries to say it's around the block and so what, blah blah...That area of the City is narrow, tiny and on top of each other. It may as well be the same block. And your argument is weak at best to begin with.

I found this group to be well meaning but a little disorganized. But the emotions were super high. For the first time in my life I heard NYers and some from NJ actually chanting IMPEACH OBAMA. Some used more foul language but after a short time that stopped.  People are mad.

It was pouring but people were there and stayed. We bought umbrellas or stood under the overhangs and we stayed. Right there across the street from Ground Zero.

I met a young man of 33 who said he voted for Obama but truly regrets it now and won't ever vote for him again. We had a short conversation where he told me he just didn't know all these things about Obama at the time and he just listened to what was told on the media.

I had a few hecklers come by and try to start a problem with me over my sign but I know what to say. Basically I told them to ask Ayaan Hirsi Ali why she had to flee for her life and to ask her what is truly inflammatory and what is not.

I wrote at the top of that poster: Park51 is about Conquest.

I'm going to post what I feel is a powerful statement from a very emotional man who lost the daughter of a friend who was working at Cantor Fitzgerald that horribly fateful morning. She was only 23. But before you scroll to that video I am going to be super clear with you, if you attempt to leave comments about this man's sexuality in a negative way I will NOT approve your comments. There is too much garbage in the conservative movement that polarizes the gay community and I won't stand for it here on my blog. The fact that he is so vocal and stands with the correct side shows his true inner strength and I applaud him even more for that.

Islam is a political ideology not a religion.

Muslims Always Want a Settlement Freeze...So Be IT!

The Muslims always want a freeze...when it comes to anything Jewish. No Jews allowed. All their bullshit negotiations have to do with no Jews in Gaza, no Jews in the West Bank. Jews stop.

They seem to always be about freezing building when it comes to JEWS.

So I say this MOSQUE FREEZE is super fair. It's one damn mosque on sacred ground where they came in the name of Islam to kill us and parts of the plane were found and I'm sure body parts and blood of those who were murdered were in that building as well.

So I'm renaming this movement to stop the mosque:
The Mosque FREEZE.

*There were only 10 Mosques in New York City in 1970. There were over 100 in 2001, including 17 in Manhattan.

*The Islamic prime Minister of Turkey Erdogan clearly and loudly said “The Mosques are our barracks, the Domes are helmets, the Minarets are Bayonets and the faithful are soldiers.”

*Imam Rauf is a permanent trustee of New York’s uptown Islamic Cultural Center, founded by his Muslim Brotherhood father. Until Sept. 28, 2001, the ICC employed Imam Sheik Muhammad Gemeaha, an Al-Azhar University envoy to the U.S. One week later, from the “safety” of Egypt, Gemeaha said “only the Jews” could have perpetrated September 11. If Americans knew, “they would have done to Jews what Hitler did.” Allah says Jews “disseminate corruption in the land” and spread “heresy, homosexuality, alcoholism, and drugs,” he added.

Dear Islamic Followers

Dearest Islamic Followers:

You are correct. We do not want you here and you are not welcome. You are not welcome one block from Ground Zero, nor are you welcome to come and colonize with your Sharia, wife beatings, stonings, honor killings, head coverings and child marriages just to name a few.

You are not welcome here to come and lecture us on tolerance while your Koran preaches hate and intolerance within your own community as well as without.

You are not welcome here just as I am not welcome in your lands as a Jew.

You are not welcome here and I do not need to justify any other reason why.

Flotilla " Go Back To Aushwitz" -- YOU FIRST!

idfnadesk  June 04, 2010 — During radio transmissions between Israeli Navy and the ships of the “Free Gaza” Flotilla on 31 May 2010, the Israeli Navy ship attempts to make contact with the ‘Defne Y’ on channel 1-6. Other ships from the flotilla respond on the channel, without identifying themselves. At some point during the radio exchange the Israeli Navy is told by one of the ships to “shut up, go back to Auschwitz” (2:05) and “don’t forget 9-11″ (5:42).
In the early hours of the May 31st 2010, IDF soldiers boarded the ships of the “Free Gaza” Flotilla, after the ships refused to redirect their course. Aboard the Mavi Marmara, the soldiers encountered serious violence when, in a pre-planned attack, the activists on board attempted to lynch the soldiers with knives, metal rods and stole two of their guns. As a result 7 soldiers were injured and 9 demonstrators were killed. For more information please go to: http://www.idfspokesperson.com

Truth Teller Phyllis Chesler

"In my many years as an activist, I have learned that when someone—a sacrificial lamb—has drawn the world’s attention, that most of the do-gooders who approach, myself included, have their own agendas. How could it be otherwise? All of us may mean well, all of us may cause harm, few of us, even the most religious amongst us, are there for completely unselfish reasons. Some are, but many more are after some kind of religious or political “credit,” and wish to use the sacrificial lamb to prove or achieve something else. No one is there for the sacrifice herself, no one knows her, she is a principle embodied." - Chesler

Did You Ever Think You'd Live To See The Day That THIS Would Be Normal In The USA?

Times Square July 2010. I guess they are trying to make this fashionable? What kind of insane nonsense is this? A little girl, all covered up as if this is frickin' Saudi Arabia. This sickness must stop.

Our country was built on freedom from oppression FROM religion and government. These people are oppressors. Don't believe me? Just read Phyllis Chesler or Brigitte Gabriel.

Check out the graffitti. At least there is one other smart person in NYC that understands the truth and was willing to write it on the bus ad.
