"The problem here is a totalitarian uniformity, a cult-like mentality such that even allies are enemies if they fail to follow the Exact Party Line. " - Phyllis Chesler

Jihad At Pioneer Square

Maybe I'm a little late to this game but I just heard about the attempted JIHAD bombing of Pioneer Square in Oregon last night at the Christmas Tree lighting.

This Author writes: How far would Mohamud have traveled down that road without the help of those very operatives? [FBI operatives]

And my head wants to explode, no pun intended, at reading this thought. This thought, while clearly this author's right, is the very stupidity that keeps us unsafe and forces good people to be subjected to full body, naked scanners at the airport.

Steve Duin, the Author, insinuates that had the FBI Operatives not lured this poor Jihadi wanna be, this would never have happened.

Now I insinuate that had Mr. Duin and people like him had half a brain cell left, they'd be telling you that the FBI did an amazing job of intercepting Jihadi Wanna Be Mohamed Osman Mohamud, 19, a Somali-born U.S. citizen BEFORE the REAL BAD GUYS could get to him whereby my friend who lives in Oregon and who happened to be there on that night to celebrate her holiday of Christmas would have been murdered.

If you want to suffer Stockholm Syndrome by all means you go right ahead but don't you dare take me or other Americans with you.
Update:
A Somali-born teenager plotted "a spectacular show" of terrorism for months, saying he didn't mind that children would die if he bombed a crowded Christmas tree-lighting ceremony, according to a law-enforcement official and court documents.
Even MSNBC got the story correct with 'proper' details. If they are reporting this it makes me wonder what they aren't telling us that's truly important. Just goes to show you how on the fringe Authors like Steve Duin really are. Too bad it doesn't show Authors like Mr. Duin just how on the fridge HE really is.

"The FBI monitored Mohamud's e-mail and found that he was in contact with people overseas, asking how he could travel to Pakistan and join the fight for jihad, according to an FBI affidavit."
Didn't Mr. Duin tell us this didn't happen?
"The FBI's affidavit says the friend in Pakistan referred him to another associate, but gave him an invalid e-mail address that Mohamud tried repeatedly to use unsuccessfully. The official said FBI agents saw that as an opportunity and e-mailed Mohamud in response, claiming to be associates of his friend, the former student."

I think I'll just start to refer to Steve Duin as Blind Deaf & DUIN!
