Lee, Yes I do this with each birth. Usually the mom is holding the baby with me and the dad by her side. This birth had a lot of issues surrounding it and for the first hour I was the only one paying any attention to the baby and that is where this photo was taken. I left 2 hours after she was born and still the mom had not held her own child. I am not sure if I will blog about this or not or how I can write this up properly for this blog. But the situation's details are not what one might think from reading my reply to you.
